John Campbell is an objects conservator specializing in modern and contemporary art. In 2012, Mr. Campbell founded New York-based Campbell Contemporary Sculpture (CCS) Conservation Inc., where he is the sole proprietor and principal conservator. The studio’s clientele has included museums, private collections, foundations, galleries, artists and auction houses.

Prior to establishing CCS Conservation he served four and a half years as head of the conservation department at the Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas, TX.  Prior to the Nasher, Mr. Campbell spent three and half years at the Museum of Modern Art, first as an intern and then as a fellow, as well as a year with a private conservation studio specializing in contemporary art. 

During Mr. Campbell’s tenure at the Nasher and MoMA, he worked extensively on large-scale modern and contemporary sculpture. He has also worked collaboratively with multiple institutions, including the Getty Conservation Institute, Meadows Museum, Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, and Yale University. 

Mr. Campbell received his training from New York University's prestigious Institute of Fine Arts Conservation Center, receiving an MA in Art History as well as post graduate certificate in Art Conservation.
